How to Install Apache HTTP?


  • Verify  httpd package is  installed ,  if  not install  them using "yum install httpd -y"

  • Configure the  IP address 192.168.1.50  and  verify 
  • Start  the  httpd  daemon and  verify  the  status

How to configure virtual host in Apache HTTP?    or 

How to  host website in Apache HTTP?

  • Configure  /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf  main  configuration  file  with  below   mandatory options
ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
Listen 80
Include conf.d/*.conf
DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"
  • Create  virtual  host  web site  details  in as  separate conf file  in /etc/httpd/conf.d  directory

  • Create index.html page  in document  root  directory “/var/www/html”  and  verify  the  www.iwayq.com   website
  • Open the Browser and test the website!
